Leifur Eiriksson Dinner

Hi again everyone,

As noted in the September ICCE Newsletter, our fall dinner – the Leifur Eiriksson Dnnner – is being held Saturday, September 30th at the Dutch Canadian Club, 13212 – 142 Street.

This year, the club is providing a barbecued meal and asking you to bring either a side dish, salad or dessert for the buffet table. Doors will open at 5pm with dinner served at 6pm. Entertainment is being provided by Singer Musician Bill Bourne, great grandson of Icelandic poet Stephan G Stephansson.

There is no charge for the evening, however, in order to know how much meat and veggies to purchase and cook, would you please RSVP to myself, Linda Cornell, no later than September 23rd to lindacornell19@hotmail.com or give me a call at 780-456-6366 or text me at 780-913-5283. Please let me know how many will be attending in your party. If you have already replied by phone or email, please be assured that I have already documented this information – no need to RSVP again.

Thank you and hope to see you on September 30th.

Kaffi Rabb Class

Unfortunately, due to a shortage of people available to attend this Saturday’s Kaffi Rabb Class, as well as a facilitator for the room, it has been decided to cancel the March 11th morning session.  At the current time, we are still planning to go ahead with the session on Saturday, March 25th and hope you will be able to attend then.

We apologize for any convenience this may cause anyone.

ICCE Christmas

Hi everyone,

Please check out the attached poster regarding two Icelandic Christmas celebrations coming up with the Icelandic Canadian Club of Edmonton.  You will be receiving a phone call about the one on November 26th, however, if you are planning to attend the one on December 3rd at the Scandinavian Library, please let Diane know at 780-461-3801 or info@iccedm.org so she will have an idea of approximately how many will be attending.  You are welcome to bring some goodies with you to share if you wish, although it is not necessary.

We hope we will see you at both gatherings.

Gleðileg jól,

Linda Cornell
